Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Security and Loss Prevention Specialist (SLP Specialist) to lead protection of people, products, and data within a designated building. The role reports to the Security and Loss Prevention Cluster Manager and supports operational and cross-functional teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in security, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, law enforcement, or operations is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, in a professional setting.
• Experience in workplace incident mitigation or de-escalation and business continuity planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential investigations and prepare prompt written reports of theft, fraud, and critical incidents.
• Identify vulnerabilities and define mitigating actions while ensuring legal and ethical standards.
• Serve as liaison and subject matter expert for site leadership on security issues, strategies, and performance.
• Develop strategies for alarm reduction and diagnose system issues with internal and external partners.
• Travel up to 25% domestically as needed.
• Able to lift up to 49 pounds and work in variable environments, including 12-hour shifts and outdoor areas.
• Support 24/7 operations including nights, weekends, and holidays.
