Job summary

Amazon in Rancho Cordova is seeking a Security and Loss Prevention Specialist (SLP Specialist) to protect people, product, and data across a designated site. You will lead investigations, analyze vulnerabilities, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires high school completion, 2+ years in Amazon security or related fields, strong Excel and Office skills, and experience in incident mitigation and continuity planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience, or 1+ year in security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, law enforcement, or operations, or Loss Prevention Qualified Career Choice Graduate.
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, in a professional capacity.
• Workplace incident mitigation or de-escalation and Business Continuity planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential investigations and prepare prompt written reports of theft, fraud, and critical incidents.
• Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities and define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Serve as department liaison and security/crisis management SME for site leadership.
• Develop strategies for alarm reduction and conduct system diagnostics for problematic devices with partners.
