Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Denver, CO is seeking a Security Service Technician to independently service and maintain security systems, including intrusion alarms, access control and CCTV. You will read blueprints and technical manuals, diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and document work orders while ensuring compliance with codes and customer requirements.

Travel to job sites as needed and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Strong working knowledge of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.
• Ability to work independently and complete standard service jobs without supervision.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems.
• Diagnose system issues and apply corrective actions promptly.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with codes and customer requirements.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete service work safely.
• Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately.
