Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a residential location in Bridgeport, CT. The role focuses on unarmed patrols, assisting residents, and maintaining a visible security presence during night hours.

You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and document activities while delivering courteous customer service to residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and resident concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the residential areas and parking lots to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity; report maintenance concerns per site procedures.
• Document incidents and daily observations in required reports and inform site management.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and daily observations in required reports, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
