Allied Universal in Fort Lee, NJ is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to patrol residential sites and provide exceptional customer service. The role focuses on visible presence, incident response, and detailed reporting to maintain safety and a welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

This position emphasizes flexibility with a set evening schedule and opportunities to advance into new shifts via the Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by following site procedures and emergency responses.
• Respond to concerns and incidents calmly and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity to maintain an orderly residential environment.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in required reports for site management.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

• Mon 07:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue 07:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed 07:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 07:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 07:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to maintain an orderly residential environment.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
