Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Observation in Indianapolis, IN. This part-time position supports patient, visitor, and staff safety within healthcare settings, delivering friendly service and reliable monitoring.

You will perform routine patrols, uphold access control, respond to incidents, and collaborate with a team dedicated to a welcoming, secure environment. Prior security experience and a valid license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as required, and reporting unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
