Job summary

Allied Universal in Sterling, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer/Patrol Driver for a technology data center. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

This role requires a valid driver's license; prior customer service and access control experience are preferred. Flexible weekend schedule on Saturdays and Sundays from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with opportunities to grow through our shift-claim platform.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a technology data center location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
