Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Site Assessment in Sterling, VA. You will patrol the site, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

Shifts are Saturday and Sunday afternoons; pay rate is $21 per hour. The role emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and following site procedures to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide security procedures and customer service at a technology location by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout the facility and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitors, assist with access control and direct authorized personnel as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow reporting procedures.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately and communicate with site contacts and leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with access control and directing authorized personnel and guests as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately in required logs and reports while communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
