Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed) for our Sterling, VA data center site. You will provide outstanding customer service, patrol facilities, and manage access control in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of data center buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and security-related systems in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
• Assist with protecting the continuity of data center operations by reporting facility concerns, access issues, and security-related observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
