Allied Universal® is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Washington, DC. You will provide security for a commercial real estate location, conduct patrols, deter incidents, and respond professionally to security concerns. Minimum requirements include 2+ years of security experience, a valid license, and a HS diploma. Background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• State/municipal Security Professional license preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors per site procedures and emergency responses.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access and verify visitor/vendor authorization per site procedures; maintain professional interactions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document activities.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift communications; report maintenance concerns to supervision.

Job Schedule:

• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and vendor authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain professional interactions with all occupants and guests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, or security-related issues to Allied Universal supervision and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• A state, county, or city-issued Security Professional license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
