Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Licensed Driver Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist visitors and tenants with exceptional customer service, and communicate concerns promptly. Pay Rate: $22.25 / Hour

• Tue 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM
• Wed 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM
• Thur 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM
• Fri 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM
• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the mall, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
