Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time security professional for a campus environment in the United States. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while enforcing security procedures and responding to incidents.

Responsibilities include patrols, monitoring access points, and documenting incidents, with a focus on calm, professional communication and adherence to site policies.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sat 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sun 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused campus by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity, reporting unusual conditions and documenting incidents in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and responding emergency personnel while maintaining accurate activity and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
