Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Monmouth, NJ is seeking a Security Guard I to protect patients, visitors, and staff. You will monitor entrances, respond to incidents, and maintain a safe environment.

This full-time role requires NJ SORA certification, the ability to patrol in all weather, and strong written communication. The team emphasizes safety, service, and collaboration with clinical and facilities staff.

• Experience handling conflict resolution and de-escalating difficult interactions preferred.
• Basic knowledge of emergency response procedures and security best practices.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to document incidents clearly and accurately.
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort using security and reporting systems.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor building entrances, interior spaces, parking areas, and exterior perimeters to maintain safety and access control
• Conduct routine patrols and remain alert to potential safety or security concerns throughout the facility
• Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and requests for assistance
• De-escalate disruptive or challenging situations using sound judgment and professionalism
• Investigate incidents and complete accurate and detailed written reports
• Operate surveillance systems, access control systems, and other security-related technology
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and facilities teams to support a safe patient care environment
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism, integrity, and a visible security presence
• Support emergency preparedness and response procedures as needed

At MSK, safety is essential to patient care. As part of our Security team, you will help maintain a secure, safe, and welcoming environment by monitoring building entrances and perimeters, responding to incidents and emergencies, preparing reports, and assisting patients, visitors, and staff when needed.

Role Overview:

Key Qualifications:

Pay Range: $24.05 - $44.92FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
