Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Richmond, VA. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with optional extra shifts to boost earnings, and the potential to grow into a full-time schedule.

You’ll support a technology-focused site with unarmed patrols and strong customer service. The position pays $19.00 per hour, with a schedule that includes DayTimeSun shifts from 10:00 to 06:00.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation may be required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local rules.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location, following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings and parking areas.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report irregularities as directed.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Richmond, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology‑focused location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
