Allied Universal, Milpitas, CA, seeks a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide customer service, perform patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents. • Monitor access points, observe site conditions, and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document actions taken for records and investigations.
• Maintain daily activity reports and shift communications per site requirements.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Inspection in Milpitas, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout technology and telecommunications work areas, offices, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe site conditions, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Maintain clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
