Job summary

The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Hawaii seeks a dedicated Security Guard (Full Time) to preserve safety for employees and visitors. The role requires patrolling, monitoring alarms, maintaining logs, and enforcing center policies.

Responsibilities include emergency procedures, grant of access, and collaboration with the Security Manager. Must hold Hawaii Guard Card, HS diploma, and 1–2 years' experience; flexible schedule expected.

Qualifications

• Must have current valid State of Hawaii Guard Card.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One-two years’ work experience.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, follow detailed procedures, and have good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visual security presence by circulating among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property and help maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
• Conduct hourly rounds to monitor facility activity and report problems to the Security Manager.
• Monitor alarm systems, sign in/out keys and audiovisual equipment to authorized personnel, admit staff and visitors, check deliveries, and answer the security office telephone.
• Ensure mechanical systems are functioning properly and check for hazards and water issues.
• Maintain a shift log and follow The Salvation Army Policies and Procedures.
• Attend staff and administrative meetings and maintain regular attendance.
