Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center Hawaii in Ewa Beach, HI is seeking a full-time Security Guard to maintain a safe environment for staff, members, and visitors. The role includes patrols, access control, emergency procedures, and monitoring of facilities during and after hours.

Requirements include a current Hawaii Guard Card, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1–2 years of work experience with strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

Must have current valid State of Hawaii Guard Card.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
One-two years’ work experience.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, follow detailed procedures, and have good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Provide a visual security presence by circulating among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property and help maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
Conduct hourly rounds to monitor facility activity and report problems to the Security Manager.
Monitor alarm systems, sign in/out keys and audiovisual equipment, admit staff and visitors, check in deliveries, and answer the security office telephone.
Ensure members have membership cards for admittance and follow Emergency Action Plan and evacuation procedures.
