Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer to protect campus environments in New York, NY. You will monitor access points, patrol buildings, and provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and campus policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior or policy violations.
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports according to site procedures.

You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM
• Tue 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sun 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
