Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community while following security procedures and emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, residences, common areas, entrances and perimeter.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical situations and other events following site protocols and coordination with campus resources.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, reporting maintenance concerns and suspicious activity to the right personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and site rules.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific protocols and contacting appropriate campus resources and/or emergency personnel.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, suspicious activity, and other security‑related matters to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
