You will conduct routine patrols, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Position type: Full Time; Pay rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour. Requires 18+ (21+ for armed roles), HS diploma, background check, drug screen, and applicable licenses.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Educational Building Full Time Patrol Officer in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM
• Thur: 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM
• Fri: 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sat: 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following campus protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
