Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver Level III for a part-time role. You will provide armed patrols, deter incidents, and deliver customer service to clients, shoppers, and staff.

Requirements include a Level III Armed Certification in Texas, a valid driver’s license, and 21+ years old. Training, background checks, and a drug screen are part of the process. Shifts run Mon and Sun 12:00 PM – 08:00 PM, with a pay rate of $17.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 years of armed security experience.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Valid driver’s license per Allied Universal policy.
• Age 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and staff while following site policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols in retail areas, loading zones, parking lots, and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and emergencies calmly and professionally.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for security concerns, reporting observations to leadership or police as needed.
• Prepare accurate security reports and communicate information to leadership and client representatives.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Sun 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving and loading areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, potential theft, or policy violations, reporting observations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and responding law enforcement as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
