Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks an Armed Security Officer for a full-time retail post in Houston, TX. You will protect clients, perform armed patrols, and uphold safety protocols in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail locations, parking areas, loading zones, and surrounding perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer, employee, vendor, and delivery activity; report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and response actions per site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
