Qualifications

• At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks will be conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered as allowed by law.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and utility customers while following site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, substations, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify hazards and report unusual activity or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity as directed by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site procedures and coordinating with emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities and share information with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
