Qualifications

• Drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and the public while following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct armed patrols of facilities and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report concerns or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities promptly per site requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report access concerns or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with emergency responders when appropriate.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
