Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Badge Administration in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a vital utilities location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, substations, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and potential hazards.
• Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security-related concerns through a professional armed presence and adherence to applicable post orders.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
