Pay Rate: $19.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and public emergency responders as appropriate.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and promptly report maintenance or operational hazards to designated personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
