Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Patrol Observation in Jacksonville, FL to protect clients across utilities. • 1 year or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• State/county/city security license is preferred.

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, visitors, and the public by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities at a utility location.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, administrative areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations, with working conditions varying by assignment.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized activity, damaged property, hazards, and/or unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact emergency services and site contacts in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and maintain required documentation for patrol observations, incidents, and shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
