Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Normal, IL. You will patrol, monitor access, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents, while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license, background check, and adherence to site policies. Training and career growth opportunities are provided by Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with access control and badge processes preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing or operations location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, production-related areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
