Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for a Patrol Driving role at Normal, IL. You will provide customer service, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and support security operations while driving the site vehicle.

This position offers flexible day/evening shifts and a pay rate of $19.00 per hour, with opportunities to expand within our shifting platform.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in line with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers at an automotive manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, and documenting entry and exit activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
• Assist with traffic flow, vehicle access, and parking-related procedures during shift changes, deliveries, and other high-activity periods.

What You'll Do

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
