Job summary

Allied Universal in Mount Vernon, IL is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Driver to protect facilities at an automotive location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents, while delivering courteous service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

This full-time, unarmed driving role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and the ability to work a daytime/evening schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, perimeter access points, and grounds to identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, escalating concerns as needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs and communicate observations to supervision and site leadership.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
