Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a part-time Security Officer for our Dayton, OH Service Center. The role requires vigilance to protect terminal interests, prevent theft, and respond to incidents during 6:00 am–6:00 pm Saturday and Sunday with flexibility for additional shifts.

Candidates should have a valid driver's license, be at least 21, able to communicate in English, and capable of standing or patrolling the facility for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to speak, read and write the English language
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Must have reliable transportation
• Willing to work nights and weekends if needed
• Able to stand, walk or patrol the facility for the majority of the shift
• Ten-year verifiable work history required
• Military, police, or security experience preferred but not required
• Must pass criminal history check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Part-Time, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm Saturday and Sunday, must have flexibility to assist shift coverages on other unassigned days.

Responsibilities:

• Providing protection for the terminal’s security interests and property from theft, fires, sabotage, vandalism, illegal entry, and other acts that may adversely impact the company
• Other duties as assigned by management staff

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation.
• Have the ability to speak, read and write the English language
• Be at least 21 years of age
• You must have reliable transportation
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends if needed
• You must be able to physically stand, walk or patrol the assigned facility for the majority of your shift
• Applicants must have a verifiable ten-year work history
• Previous military, police, or security guard experience is preferred but not required
• Must submit to a criminal history check, and pass a drug screen
