Meta is seeking a Security Engineer Lead to scope, design, and champion security solutions company-wide. You will influence Identity and Access Management, Cryptography/Data Security, Product Identity, AI Security, Cloud Security, and Asset Management across Meta’s vast infrastructure.

The role requires building defensible threat models, aligning with executives on tradeoffs, and delivering shared platforms that measurably improve the company’s security posture.

Qualifications

• Deep technical expertise across multiple security domains.
• Experience driving large cross-company engineering initiatives.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into security solutions.
• Hands-on engineering leadership across security and software teams.

Responsabilités

• Set technical direction for security solutions and platforms shared across the company.
• Determine the highest-risk items across these domains company-wide, then lead development of detailed threat models and solutions.
• Define how AI agents are identified, authorized, and audited across Meta's infrastructure.
• Navigate tradeoffs between security and friction or cost to keep the company moving fast securely.
• Drive solution design, including technical architecture, and lead implementation as needed.
• Build partnerships across security, infrastructure, corporate engineering, and legal to translate ambiguous requirements into tradeoffs.
• Represent those tradeoffs credibly to senior leadership (CTO, CISO) to drive decisions.
