How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, exterior areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or potential concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and reports of activities, incidents, and observations.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by communicating professionally with personnel and visitors and following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
