Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a hands-on Security & Fire Alarm Electrical Installer to install, program, configure, commission, and service security and fire alarm systems at customer sites. You will troubleshoot, read blueprints, and coordinate with trades on technical field projects.

Required three years of low-voltage experience, ability to handle physical labor, and a valid driver’s license. The role demands safety adherence, customer service, and strong teamwork on diverse sites, including

Qualifications

• Three years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging.
• Experience installing, programming, configuring, commissioning, and servicing fire alarm or related low-voltage systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, diagrams, specifications, schematics, and manuals.
• Ability to obtain and retain licenses per codes; pass background and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, configure, commission, and service Security & Fire Alarm Systems and related building systems at customer sites.
• Support integrated low-voltage systems such as Access Control, CCTV, Nurse Call, and Paging.
• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and reprogram panels, devices, and components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specs to ensure proper installation.
• Coordinate with other trades to optimize schedules and site productivity.
• Prepare accurate project documentation and communicate progress to stakeholders.
