Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled technician to install, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service Fire Alarm, Access Control and CCTV systems at customer sites, with a focus on networked fire alarm systems.

This role requires minimum 3+ years in low voltage systems, reading blueprints, and using test equipment. Willingness to travel, work weekends, and participate in after-hours service is expected. Strong customer service and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with low voltage electrical and life-safety systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, submittals, manuals.
• Proficient with test equipment and commissioning devices.

Responsibilities

• Install/program integrated security and fire alarm systems.
• Respond to service calls, troubleshoot and repair as needed.
• Participate in after-hours service program.
• Coordinate with central dispatch on work orders.
• Read blueprints, diagrams and manuals.
• Supervise installation to contract specifications.
• Complete required certification courses.
• Submit task-related activity and productivity documentation.
