Job summary

Mobile Communications America, Inc. (MCA) seeks an experienced Field Engineer in San Antonio, TX to support our Security division. The role involves overseeing system infrastructure, programming, commissioning, and field support for technical deployments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in physical security, expertise with Lenel OnGuard, and the ability to manage installations and related documentation. A U.S. government clearance is preferred. On-site work with varied shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in physical security.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Expert knowledge in Lenel OnGuard Enterprise architecture.
• Experience with installing, configuring, engineering, and designing security systems.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing of system infrastructure, system hosting, system connectivity, and system licensing.
• Program and commission systems for projects.
• Develop programming documents and system matrices.
• Perform pre-installation programming, kitting, and device configuration.
• Provide technical support to other technicians.
• Apply digital licenses as needed.
• Ensure quality assurance on system installations.
• Maintain and enforce device labeling standards.
• Collaborate with engineering during design and drafting phases.
• Contribute to the Design Team by providing drawings, red lines, and as-builts.
• Participate in the review process for large or complex projects.
• Provide field support and on-the-job training for technicians, including technical and standards training.
• Maintain and update job specifications as needed.
