Job summary

Reflection is seeking an MTS Lead of Technology & Security Engineering to architect and operate the security foundation protecting AI research infra, GPU capacity, and model assets. You will own the full security stack from end-user compute to cloud security, and drive guardrails that support research speed with rigor.

The role requires hands-on depth and executive presence to lead security programs, engage auditors, and negotiate vendor risk across a fast-moving frontier AI company.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of engineering experience at high-valuation or defense-grade environments.
• Battle-tested leadership building security engineering functions at scale.
• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, and NIST CSF audits.
• Experience leading vendor risk, procurement security reviews, and legal negotiations.
• Experience with front-line defenses for an AI company, including physical security.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate a security engineering foundation spanning end-user compute to cloud security.
• Define guardrails and build systems that assume compromise to protect assets.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, infra, legal, and security.
• Develop security-as-code in Terraform/Pulumi and maintain CI/CD checks.
• Implement telemetry and detection to cover post-exploitation and lateral movement.
• Oversee vendor risk, audits, and security-related contracting negotiations.
