Job summary

Check Point Software Technologies in Dallas seeks a seasoned Security Engineer to provide pre-sales technical support for Telco customers and partners, driving adoption of Telco products and services. You will design enterprise security solutions and present to technical and non-technical audiences, supporting trade shows and beta programs.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in networking/security, strong Check Point expertise, relevant certifications, and some sales exposure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in networking standards and security
• Solid network and endpoint security experience
• Extensive Check Point experience required
• Check Point CCSE/CISSP/GIAC preferred
• Telecom, Cable, Wireless experience desired
• Exposure to Cloud Architecture, 5G and IoT is a plus
• Previous sales experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical support to Check Point Account Managers, Telco/MSSP partners and customers to drive sales of Telco Products, Services and Solutions
• Support Telco Sales organization to drive business from direct customers or through partners

• Conduct technical training and sales education sessions with partners

• Provide pre-sales technical support to Check Point Account Managers, Check Point Telco/MSSP partners and Check Point customers to drive sales of our Telco Products, Services and Solutions
• Support the Telco Sales organization to help drive business from direct customers (Sell to) or thru our Partner network (Sell thru)
• Perform technical design work related to enterprise network security for partners and customers
• Highly proficient at giving technical presentations to technical and non-technical audiences and provide support for trade shows, marketing events, and beta (EA program) management
• Hold on-going technical training and sales education sessions with our Partners
• Perform limited post-sales support
• Be a mentor within the Security Engineer community
• Some travel required

Qualifications

• BS, EE/CS degree or technical school certificate or equivalent experience
• 8+ years in networking standards and protocols (Ethernet, routing, UNIX, Network Mgr., Internet Protocol addressing)
• Solid network security experience and endpoint security knowledge
• Experience in Telecom, Cable, Wireless would be highly desired
• Exposure to Cloud Architecture, 5G and IoT Technologies is a plus
• Extensive Check Point experience is required
• Check Point CCSE certification, CISSP, and/or GIAC preferred
• Previous sales experience a plus
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future
