Job summary

Check Point Software is seeking a senior Security Engineer to provide pre-sales technical support, craft enterprise network security designs for partners and customers, and deliver compelling presentations across technical and non-technical audiences. The role involves collaboration with Account Managers and Telco/MSSP partners, plus occasional travel to customer sites and events.

Ideal candidates have extensive Check Point experience, strong networking/security background and may hold

Qualifications

• BS/EE or CS degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in networking, protocols, and IP addressing.
• Strong network and endpoint security experience.
• Experience in Telecom, Cable, Wireless is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical support to Account Managers, Telco/MSSP partners, and customers to drive sales of Telco products and services.
• Support Telco Sales to drive business from direct customers or through partners.
• Perform technical design work for enterprise network security for partners and customers.
• Deliver technical presentations to technical and non-technical audiences; support trade shows and events.
• Conduct ongoing technical training and sales education sessions with Partners.
• Perform limited post-sales support and mentoring within the security engineer community.
• Some travel required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical support to Check Point Account Managers, Check Point Telco/MSSP partners and Check Point customers to drive sales of our Telco Products, Services and Solutions
• Support the Telco Sales organization to help drive business from direct customers (Sell to) or thru our Partner network (Sell thru)
• Perform technical design work related to enterprise network security for partners and customers
• Highly proficient at giving technical presentations to technical and non-technical audiences and provide support for trade shows, marketing events, and beta (EA program) management
• Hold on-going technical training and sales education sessions with our Partners
• Perform limited post-sales support
• Be a mentor within the Security Engineer community
• Some travel required

Qualifications

• BS, EE/CS degree or technical school certificate or equivalent experience
• 8+ years in networking standards and protocols (Ethernet, routing, UNIX, Network Mgr., Internet Protocol addressing)
• Solid network security experience and endpoint security knowledge
• Experience in Telecom, Cable, Wireless would be highly desired
• Exposure to Cloud Architecture, 5G and IoT Technologies is a plus
• Extensive Check Point experience is required
• Check Point CCSE certification, CISSP, and/or GIAC preferred
• Previous sales experience a plus
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future
