Job summary

Check Point in Irving, Texas is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to provide pre-sales technical support, design enterprise network security architectures, and mentor the Security Engineer community. You will present to technical and non-technical audiences and support trade shows and beta programs. The role requires 8+ years in networking, solid security expertise, strong communication skills, and Check Point experience.

Occasional travel is required. Eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in networking standards and protocols (Ethernet, routing, UNIX, Network Mgr., Internet Protocol addressing)
• Solid network security experience and endpoint security knowledge
• Experience with Telecom, Cable, Wireless is highly desired
• Exposure to Cloud Architecture, 5G and IoT Technologies is a plus
• Check Point CCSE, CISSP, and/or GIAC preferred

• Provide pre-sales technical support to Account Managers, Telco/MSSP partners and customers to drive sales of Telco products and solutions
• Support Telco Sales to sell to direct customers or thru partners
• Perform technical design work related to enterprise network security for partners and customers
• Deliver technical presentations to technical and non-technical audiences and support trade shows and events
• Hold ongoing technical training and sales education sessions with Partners
• Perform limited post-sales support
• Mentor within the Security Engineer community

Job Description

• Provide pre-sales technical support to Check Point Account Managers, Check Point Telco/MSSP partners and Check Point customers to drive sales of our Telco Products, Services and Solutions
• Support the Telco Sales organization to help drive business from direct customers (Sell to) or thru our Partner network (Sell thru)
• Perform technical design work related to enterprise network security for partners and customers
• Highly proficient at giving technical presentations to technical and non-technical audiences and provide support for trade shows, marketing events, and beta (EA program) management
• Hold on-going technical training and sales education sessions with our Partners
• Perform limited post-sales support
• Be a mentor within the Security Engineer community
• Some travel required

Qualifications

• BS, EE/CS degree or technical school certificate or equivalent experience
• 8+ years in networking standards and protocols (Ethernet, routing, UNIX, Network Mgr., Internet Protocol addressing)
• Solid network security experience and endpoint security knowledge
• Experience in Telecom, Cable, Wireless would be highly desired
• Exposure to Cloud Architecture, 5G and IoT Technologies is a plus
• Extensive Check Point experience is required
• Check Point CCSE certification, CISSP, and/or GIAC preferred
• Previous sales experience a plus
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future
