Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a senior security engineer to strengthen and optimize the organization's security posture. You will design and implement security architectures across cloud, on‑prem, and vendor environments while guiding DevSecOps practices and secure coding standards.

You will work with R&D and cross‑functional teams to ensure data protection, cryptographic key management, SSO design, and regulatory compliance. Flexible remote work options available in the US.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of security standards and frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and pentest platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Alibaba) and securing cloud-native apps.
• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C++) and automation (Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong networking knowledge, firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and security monitoring tools.
• 5+ years in security engineering and GRC-focused security solutions.
• Extensive DevSecOps experience and secure coding support for development teams.
• Proven cryptography expertise including encryption, key management, and signatures.

Responsibilities

• Security Engineering & Architecture: design, implement, and maintain security architectures across cloud, third‑party, and on‑prem environments.
• DevSecOps: embed security in CI/CD pipelines, establish standards, and conduct secure code reviews.
• Cryptography: manage encryption, keys, and data protection conforming to standards.
• Identity & Authentication: design and manage secure SSO, IdPs, and federation protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID).
• Secure Coding: promote secure coding practices and establish secure coding standards.
• GRC: align controls with NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2 and regulatory requirements.
• Threat Management: perform risk assessments, threat modeling, vulnerability management.
• Incident Response & Monitoring: plan and execute IR, collaborate with SOC, implement continuous monitoring.
• Collaboration & Leadership: mentor engineers, work cross-functionally, evangelize security technologies.
