Job summary

Harness in the United States is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Security Engineering team. You will design, implement, and operate security controls across cloud and enterprise environments, partnering with Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, and Compliance to embed security into system design and operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Security Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related field.
• Hands-on with public cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) including IAM and networking.
• Experience with security monitoring, incident response, and automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, operate, and improve security controls across cloud and enterprise environments.
• Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, and DevOps to embed security into design and operations.
• Work across cloud security, network security, IAM, and PAM.
• Evaluate security requirements and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot security and infrastructure issues across multiple layers.
• Implement and maintain security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities.
• Investigate incidents and support containment, remediation, and root-cause analysis.
• Develop security standards, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Build automation using APIs, IaC, and AI-assisted workflows.
