Job summary

Austin Industries in Dallas, Texas seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will partner with IT, Operations, and Business teams to reduce risk and align security with business needs.

Responsibilities include security engineering & architecture, vulnerability management, cloud and identity security, and compliance support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or Cyber Security (desired but not required).
• Proven experience designing and implementing security controls in enterprise environments.
• Experience implementing, administering and supporting enterprise DLP solutions.
• Experience implementing, administering and supporting SIEM/XDR platforms.
• Experience implementing, administering, and supporting SOAR solutions across security operations environments.
• Hands-on scripting and security automation (PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Puppet).
• Experience with NIST/CIS controls and security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Lead security engineering and architecture reviews to embed security by design.
• Develop and maintain threat detection aligned with MITRE ATT&CK techniques.
• Support incident response activities and drills; coordinate with SOC and IT teams.
• Mentor analysts and advance security standards and playbooks.
