Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Superintendent 1 in the Security and Electronic Systems unit to lead construction activities, manage schedules, and coordinate with engineers and subcontractors.

You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery of complex electronic security projects for federal, local, and commercial clients. You will leverage CPM scheduling, cost controls, and field leadership to drive project success, with a focus on collaboration, communication, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Clearance/Citizen Type: U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain public trust.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED with 10+ Years of Experience.
• Experience in the Security Industry.
• At least two years' experience managing security projects as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Project Foreman.
• Experience installing conduit and wiring systems.
• Experience with head end programming and testing of Access Control and Video Management Systems.
• Common knowledge of basic Network Infrastructure.
• Experience with management systems such as scheduling, job cost reports, estimating, safety, documentation requirements, and quality control.
• Experience overseeing and approving monthly job cost updates, productivity reports, and quarterly cash flow projections; CPM scheduling.
• Must have a history of completing projects under the estimated hours.
• Requires ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional nights and weekends.
• Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Skills is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure projects are on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, scheduling, site safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead resource allocation meetings and develop resource-loaded schedules.
• Prepare project documentation including Change Orders, RFIs, and daily reports.
• Collaborate with engineers to drive prefab processes and manage pre-fabrication schedules.
• Maintain effective communication with GC, owner, project teams, and field operations.
• Adhere to safety procedures and environmental requirements.
