Job summary

M.C. Dean seeks a Project Leader for its Security and Electronic Systems unit to design, engineer, integrate, operate and maintain electronic security services for federal, local and commercial customers.

You will manage small to mid-size electrical construction projects, coordinate with partners, and ensure timely, compliant delivery across disciplines. Qualifications include top-secret clearance potential and a BS in a related field with 7+ years of experience (or 5+ years with a MS).

Qualifications

• 7+ years in project management for electrical construction or 5+ years with MS degree
• Experience coordinating with engineering firms, clients, and GC
• Proven track record leading diverse multi-discipline teams (Fire Alarm, Communications, Security, AV, Power)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams to meet objectives
• Demonstrated budgeting and cost control capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead overall administration of small to medium electrical construction projects
• Develop resource-loaded CPM schedules in Primavera
• Coordinate project kick-off meetings and stakeholder briefings
• Forecast cash flow and manpower needs; manage budgets and cost codes
• Review blueprints, specifications, and bid procedures; resolve issues
• Prepare estimates, submittals, and change orders; ensure timely closures
• Meet with customers to present proposals and negotiate contracts
• Ensure permits, inspections, and safety regulations are followed
• Generate monthly progress reports on budget, schedule, and manpower
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices
