Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Driver Incident Communications in Carmel, IN to coordinate dispatch communications, monitor access, and support incident response at a utilities location.

This full-time role requires 3+ years of security or related experience (or a college degree), a valid driver’s license, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined security-related experience or a college degree.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and coordinate dispatch communications for security-related incidents, alarms, access concerns, and operational requests, documenting activities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift activity records, including communications with field personnel and site stakeholders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, and communicate observations or maintenance concerns through established reporting channels.
