Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Incident Response Driver in Normal, IL to serve automotive locations. You will monitor, patrol, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining logs and coordinating with site leadership.

The position requires a valid driver’s license; CPR and guard card/licence are preferred. You’ll work a daytime schedule with shifts from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and Allied Universal offers training, benefits, and career

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, potential hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
