Summary: Responsible for the successful security surveillance review, communication, and deployment of security officers as necessary to respond to calls for aid and/or other assistance, as dictated during the course of a normal shift. Reviews and records footage requests. Handles any escalated issues within the normal daily course of business within the dispatch room.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Monitor surveillance cameras within the scope of security responsibilities.
- Download footage using digital recording equipment as needed or upon request.
- Collaborate with the property Surveillance department to track suspicious or unusual activity.
- Report suspicious or unusual activities to property security personnel for further investigation.
- Capture and print photos from monitoring systems.
- Stay updated and familiar with the property layout and alarm system locations.
- Direct responding units immediately to active alarm locations.
- Possess working knowledge of smoke control panels for manual operation if required.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and courts regarding subpoenas.
- Assist with investigations alongside Risk Management and Human Resources departments.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws, internal controls, policies, Title 31, and federal regulations.
- Provide excellent guest service promptly to guests and team members, aligning with the company's service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in casino security, law enforcement, surveillance, military, or EMT roles is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand tabular status display monitors for elevators during emergencies.
- Proven judgment and decision-making skills in challenging situations and with difficult patrons.
- Preferred working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications.
- Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals; capable of writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Effective communication skills in small and large group settings, including with local, state, and private agencies regarding life/safety systems.
- Proficiency in English and radio communication.
- Familiarity with laws and codes of the Uniform Fire Code and jurisdiction authority (Clark County Fire Department), especially during alarms.
- Ability to remain calm during emergencies to coordinate activities from the Fire Command Center.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
