Job Description

We are seeking a Dispatcher to play a vital role in intake, triage, and access to care for Cityblock’s members nationwide, 24/7. The Care Traffic Control center coordinates the flow of in-field and virtual resources, connecting members with medical providers and care staff swiftly. Dispatchers assess immediate needs and coordinate services to ensure prompt resolution or near-term follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Schedule is 1:30pm to 10:00pm EST, Monday through Friday. May include holidays.
• Screen requests for services using training and policies; respond professionally via phone, text, video, or automated feeds.
• Coordinate assignment and flow of care resources across multiple states, collaborating with field and virtual teams.
• Highlight issues related to safety, service delivery, and operations; escalate as needed.
• Identify risks of life threats, self-harm, or harm to others; make notifications accordingly.
• Complete assessments and documentations promptly across platforms.
• Maintain high service standards aligned with policies and organizational goals.
• Safeguard members’ confidential information.
• Work effectively in a remote environment, demonstrating independence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the Role

• Experience: EMT, Paramedic, Clinical Triage, or Emergency Medical Dispatcher with at least 5+ years.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred: Associate’s Degree or higher.
• Certification: Six to twelve months of experience as a Dispatcher I at Cityblock Health is preferred.
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, keyboarding, and audiovisual acuity.
• Additional: Must have a distraction-free home environment and access to transportation if needed.
• Skills: Proficiency with computer systems, troubleshooting, interpreting geographical info, organizing work, decision-making, caller management, data entry, communication, and medical terminology understanding.

Salary range: $27.34 - $33.42 hourly. Benefits include health, life insurance, retirement, equity, and paid time off.
