Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
  • One year of successful supervisory or lead experience.
  • Two years previous dispatching experience with an excellent working knowledge of radio communication equipment.
  • Ability to exercise good independent judgment and successfully function and prioritize tasks during emergency situations.
  • Effective human relation skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, clients, physicians and other professional contacts.
  • Must be able to compile quality statistical reports.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps current on alarm system operations and software; trains staff and updates competency.
  • Oversees dispatch of emergent and non-emergent security traffic for assigned areas.
  • Monitors emergency phones, call boxes, elevators and after-hours lines; oversees cameras.
  • Organizes, directs, staffs and schedules department activities; maintains training records; updates policies.
  • Orientates new full-time and temporary staff; conducts performance evaluations and action plans.
  • Assess and prioritize emergencies and coordinate resources; guide others according to urgency.
